ABRSM, the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music, will now hold its Hawaiian exam sessions each year in August. Previously, exam sessions were held in Hawaii in April/May and October/December. This change is for Practical exams only – Music Theory exams will take place in March, June and November as normal.

Music exams for all learners

ABRSM exams are open for learners of all ages and abilities. We offer a wide range of assessments including the Prep Test for beginners, the Performance Assessment for adult beginners, pianists, teachers, musicians or students of all ages with specific needs, graded music exams from Grade 1 through 8 and diploma exams in Music Performance, Music Direction and Instrumental/Vocal Teaching.
